I had the pleasure of accepting a generous contribution to Regis College passed along to me through Brendan Flynn, with the accompanying description of your holiday giftgiving. I write to thank you personally and to congratulate you and all in the company for the splendid idea. Regis College is the small Jesuit Grade faculty of theology at the University of Toronto. We have been the Jesuit seminary in English speaking Canada for over 70 years, more recently combining in the federation of theological schools known as the Toronto School of Theology. A college like ours is completely dependant on the generosity of a few good friends; our alumni are almost all ministers of the gospel, many in far-off places. Unlike most educational institutions, the alums are a source of great pride for us, but not, unfortunately a lot of financial assistance. So, again, let me thank you for your contribution. Be assured of a continuing place in our thoughts and prayers for yourself and all whom you serve.
